FitPro Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 17, 2026
This policy explains what FitPro collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at the address at the bottom.
Information We Collect
FitPro collects only what it needs to run your training, nutrition, and progress features. Depending on what you use, that can include:
1. Identity & account
- Name, email address, and gender
- Profile photo (optional)
2. Body & health metrics
- Current weight, start weight, goal weight, and your full weight history
- Height and body measurements
3. Wellness tracking
- Mood logs
- Water intake (daily total, goal, and history)
- Active calories burned
4. Nutrition
- Meal logs, meal diary, and diary history
- Custom calorie targets and dietary restrictions
- Meals you've marked as made
- Grocery ZIP code and weekly food budget (used for budget meal suggestions)
5. Workout activity
- Your workout plan and workout history
- Set-by-set logs, completed days, current streak, and total workouts completed
6. Progress photos
- Body progress photos you choose to upload, stored in our secure storage
7. Messages
- Messages between you and your trainer, and your conversations with the AI Coach — including content, timestamps, and read status
8. Trainer profile (only if you become a trainer)
- Bio, specialties, location, certifications, website, Instagram handle, years of experience, and whether you're accepting clients
9. Technical & device
- Timezone and unit preference (metric/imperial)
- Device session tokens
- Push notification tokens (to deliver reminders you opt into)
- IP address (captured by our authentication provider)
10. Consent records
- The date you accepted our policies, the version you accepted, and a record of which consents you checked
11. Payment
- Your payment processor customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number — our payment processor handles card details directly.
12. Analytics & error monitoring
- Product analytics — only if you've given cookie consent in the app. If you decline, we don't load analytics.
- Crash and error reports, which are collected without personal identifying information.
13. AI processing
- When you use the AI Coach, your messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. Per their API terms, they do not train their models on your data.
Sensitive Information
Some of what FitPro collects is treated as sensitive personal information under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and similar laws. Specifically:
- Biometric / health data — weight, body measurements, and progress photos
- Wellness data — mood logs
- Approximate location — grocery ZIP code
We use this information only to provide the features you've asked for. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, and we never sell it.
How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- provide and personalize your workouts, meal plans, and tracking
- calculate your calorie and protein targets
- show your progress over time
- let you message your trainer and the AI Coach
- process your subscription
- keep the app working and fix problems
Data Security
FitPro takes reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored using your device's secure credential store.
Third-Party Sub-processors
FitPro relies on these providers to function. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
- Vercel — application hosting
- Stripe — payment processing (we never see your full card number)
- Apple — App Store billing and receipt validation (iOS)
- Anthropic — AI Coach replies (your messages are sent to generate responses; Anthropic does not train on your data)
- PostHog — product analytics, loaded only after you give cookie consent
- Sentry — crash and error monitoring (no personal identifying information)
- ExerciseDB, Pexels, Open Food Facts — read-only sources for exercise media and food data. We do not send any of your personal data to these services.
No Sale of Personal Information
FitPro does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
We retain your data until you delete your account in Settings → Your Data → Delete my account. When you delete your account, your profile and login are removed. Encrypted backups that may still contain your data are purged within 30 days.
Your Rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- Access a copy of the data we hold on you — Settings → Export my data
- Delete your account and associated data — Settings → Delete account
- Correct inaccurate information by editing your profile
- Export your data as a downloadable file — Settings → Export my data
- Opt out of sale — we don't sell your data, so there's nothing to opt out of, but you have the right regardless
- Withdraw consent — turn off analytics cookies in the app, or delete your account to withdraw consent entirely
For any request we can't handle through the in-app controls, contact us at the address below and we'll respond within the timeframe required by your local law.
Geographic Scope
FitPro is currently available only in the United States. We do not knowingly offer services to or process personal information of individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Canada, or other jurisdictions outside the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use this service.
State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of one of the states listed in this section, you have specific privacy rights described below. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@getfitpro.app with the subject line "Privacy Request" and the state in which you reside. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
For California Residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the following rights:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and the categories of sources and recipients.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the requested service.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
For Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Tennessee, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Rhode Island
Residents of these states have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Delete personal data we have collected from you.
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
- Receive a portable copy of your personal data in a readily usable format.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
For Maryland Residents
In addition to the access, deletion, correction, and portability rights above, Maryland residents are entitled to the following under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act:
- We do not sell sensitive personal data.
- We limit collection of sensitive personal data to what is strictly necessary to provide the product or service you have requested.
Washington Consumer Health Data Notice
This notice is provided to comply with the Washington My Health My Data Act. It supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy for Washington residents whose consumer health data we process.
Categories of consumer health data we collect:
- Body measurements: weight, height, body measurements
- Fitness activity data: workouts, sets, reps
- Nutrition data: meal logs, calorie tracking, macros
- Mood and wellness logs
- Progress photos (if uploaded)
- AI Coach conversations relating to health and fitness
Sources: directly from the user via in-app input.
Purposes: to provide fitness coaching, nutrition tracking, AI Coach responses, and progress visualization.
Categories of third parties with whom this data may be shared:
- Supabase — database hosting
- Anthropic — AI Coach processing only; Anthropic does not train on user data
- Your assigned trainer, if you have redeemed a coach code
Rights. Washington residents may request access to, deletion of, and withdrawal of consent for processing of their consumer health data by emailing privacy@getfitpro.app.
Appeals. If we deny a request, Washington residents may appeal by emailing privacy@getfitpro.app with the subject line "Privacy Appeal — Washington".
No sale. We do not sell consumer health data. We will not sell consumer health data without separate, valid authorization.
Request Timelines and Appeals
We will respond to verifiable privacy requests within 45 days. If we need additional time, we will notify you and may extend by up to an additional 45 days. If we deny a request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@getfitpro.app with the subject "Privacy Appeal" and the state in which you reside. We will respond to appeals within 60 days.
Children's Data
FitPro is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, including children under 13 covered by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it. Users under 18 who have inadvertently created an account may request deletion by emailing privacy@getfitpro.app.
Changes to This Policy
FitPro may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the app means acceptance of the updated policy. The "Effective Date" above reflects the most recent revision, and we'll ask you to re-accept when the changes are significant.
